I’m going to be honest: staring at this online for months, I was nervous about purchasing. I thought the fabric was going to be stiff taffeta/silk dupioni.
I went to the BAACAL sip + shop and sample sale and tried this on and was shocked: this fabric is feather light and soft silk dupioni. incredibly soft.
It’s a lovely thin layer that I think is perfect for evening wear but also day wear. my pet peeve is when people wear cocktail dresses with a wind breaker to the theater or formal events and I think this trench solves that.
Dress it up with your favorite cocktail or formal attire. Dress it down with your favorite pants and sneakers.
I selected the largest size (size 5 at BAACAL) to wear oversized (i am a size 1 at BAACAL). I think the cut, tailoring, fabrication and color is incredibly brilliant.
With the right accessories, you can wear as a trench dress too!
